PICCIRILLO

Helen K. Piccirillo, 86, Christ the King Manor, DuBois, formerly of Brockway and Ridgway, died Tuesday at the manor.

Born Dec. 23, 1920, in Ridgway, she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Barbara Ann Kusnierz Bomba. She was married to Carmen F. Piccirillo. He preceded her in death April 9, 2006.

She was a member of St. Tobias Catholic Church in Brockway and the Catholic Daughters of America.

She worked at the former Keystone Hardware in Ridgway before retiring.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards, bingo and spending time with her family.

She is survived by two sons, Francis Piccirillo of Aurora, Ohio, and David Piccirillo of DuBois; four daughters: Barbara Varischetti and Mrs. Gary (Ann) Cristini, both of Brockway, Mrs. Thomas (Kathleen) Shaw of Erie and Joette Derricks of Treasure Lake, DuBois; one brother, Ted Bomba of Ridgway; two sisters, Florence Brunner of Ridgway and Marcella Petruzzi of Brockway; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers: Stanley, Joe, John and Henry Bomba; and one sister, Barbara Allegretti.

PICCIRILLO: Helen K., Christ the King Manor, DuBois, died Oct. 23, 2007. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home in Brockway. Vigil will be at 8:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Tobias Catholic Church in Brockway with the Rev. Msgr. Charles Kaza officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Ridgway. Memorial donations may be made to DuBois Regional Medical Center Hospice, 101 Hospital Ave., DuBois, PA 15801; Christ the King Manor; or a charity of the donor's choice.

MILITARY RITES WEDNESDAY FOR BERNARD BUCHEIT

Accident Victim, Veteran of WW II, Korean Conflict

Full military rites will be accorded Bernard Bucheit in conjunction with 10 o'clock requiem mass Wednesday morning in Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery with St. Marys Burial Detail conducting graveside rites.

Mr. Bucheit was born in St. Marys on July 24, 1923, son of the late Frank and Rinnie Martin Bucheit. His father passed away on September 24, 1961, and his mother in April, 1925.

Surviving are six brothers, Louis of Grand Rapids, Mich.; John of Mt. Jewett; Richard of St. Marys; Andrew of Kane; Leon of Erie; and Walter of Lorraine, Ohio.

Also surviving are a half-sister, Clare, Mrs. Paul Horchen, and a step-sister, Charlotte, Mrs. Carl Vollmer, both of St. Marys.

The deceased was a member of the American Legion Post 103, C.M.F. and P.F.L. He served in the Air Corps during World War II and the Korean conflict.

At the time of his death he was employed at Stackpole Carbon Company.

Alois Bucheit, 80, Died Suddenly At His Home Last Evening. Funeral Services Friday Morning At Nine O'clock.

Alois Bucheit, 80, one of Benzinger township's most highly respected and venerable residents, died suddenly at his home on Benzinger Road last evening at 20 minutes past nine o'clock.

Up to the past few days he was very active and up and around as usual being sick but a short time before passing away.

Funeral services will be held at St. Marys church, Friday morning at nine o'clock with members of St. Joseph's Society attending in a body. Interment will be made in the Catholic cemetery.

A life-long resident of this section, Mr. Bucheit was born here on March 15, 1856, and followed the farming occupation over a long period of time.

His wife passed away 30 years ago.

The deceased is survived by four daughters, Antionette, at home; Sophie of St. Marys; Sister M. Leona, O.S.B., St. Joseph Convent, here; Sister M. Maura, member of the Sisters of Mercy Order, Belmont, N.C., and four sons, Alois, Jr., and Henry at home; Philip of St. Marys and Rev. Father Maurice. O.S.B., Belmont Abbey, N.C.

He is also survived by one brother, John Buchheit of St. Marys.

Andrew C. Bucheit, 84, of 2 Greeves Street, Kane, died Saturday, April 5 at Hamot Medical Center, Erie. He was born August 5, 1918 in St. Marys, son of the late Frank and Renee Martin Bucheit. He married Mary Bonini, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Bucheit was a member of St. Callistus Church, the Carl L. Lippert Knights of Columbus #715 and the Kane Country Club. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Marines and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
Prior to his retirement in 1984, he was employed by Quaker State Refinery.

He is survived by two sons, Frank Bucheit of Kane and Michael Bucheit of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Christine Paup of Wilmington, NC; a half sister, Clare "Babe" Horchen of St. Marys; five grandchildren;
11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and three nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Andrew C. Bucheit will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Callistus Church with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. tonight at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc., where a vigil service will be held at 8:45 p.m.

Fillmore Road Resident Died On Monday
Mass Thursday for the late Charles Bucheit

Charles M. Bucheit, 77, of Fillmore Road, passed away on Monday afternoon at 3:15 at the Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.

The deceased was born in St. Marys on September 20, 1892, son of the late Frank and Mary Goetz Bucheit. He was a retired employee of Keystone Carbon Company and a member of the C.M.F. and St. Joseph Society.

He is survived by two daughters and two sons. They are: Verna, Mrs. Willis Hanes of Niagara Falls, NY; Marlene, Mrs. Albert Schatz, Vilmer Bucheit and Earl Bucheit, all of St. Marys.

Also surviving are 27 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Germaine Goetz, on January 30, 1966.

Also preceding him in death were the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Lena Distler, Mrs. Rose Distler, Mrs. Mary Meyer, Mrs. Gertrude Walker, Mrs. Josephine Cotter, Mrs. Julia Renwick, Mrs. Hilda Wortman, Joseph Bucheit, Frank Bucheit and William Bucheit.

He was the last of his immediate family.

Requiem mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning at nine o'clock from the St. Marys Church with interment to follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends and relatives may call at the John J. Lynch Funeral Home on N. Michael Street, tonight from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

FILLMORE Rd. WOMAN DIED LAST EVENING

Mrs. C. Buchheit Died Suddenly At Her Home

Mrs. Charles Buchheit, 68, the former Germaine Goetz, passed away at her Fillmore Road home last evening about eight o'clock. Her death was considered sudden and came as a great shock to friends and relatives.

Mrs. Buchheit was born in St. Marys on October 19, 1897, daughter of the late Catherine Kri and Joseph Goetz, and spent her lifetime in this community.

On October 19, 1915, she was married to Charles Buchheit at St. Mary's Church. Fr. Sweibel had performed the nuptial ceremony. Last October 16, Mr. and Mrs. Buchheit celebrated their golden anniversary with nuptial high mass in St. Mary's Church followed by a reception at Cam owners.

Surviving other than her husband are two daughters, Verna, Mrs. Willis Hanes of Niagara Falls, and Marlene, Mrs. Albert Schatz, and two sons, Vilmer and Earl, all of St. Marys.

Twenty six grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive as do two sisters and three brothers. They are, Emma, Mrs. William Buchheit of Coudersport; Caroline, Mrs. Albie Horwitz of New York City; William, Edward and Henry Goetz, all of St. Marys.

The deceased was a member of the St. Mary's Altar Society, the Kaul Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the St. Anne Society.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. They were Regina, Mrs. John Erich, Miss Minnie Goetz and Lawrence Goetz, the latter passing away December 13.

Requiem mass will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Mary's Church and interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends will be received at the John J. Lynch Funeral Home on North Michael Street tonight from 7 to 9 and tomorrow from 2 to 4 in the afternoon and 7 to 9 in the evening.

FRANK X. BUCHHEIT

Frank Buchheit, a well known resident of Benzinger Township, passed away at his home Saturday evening at 10:45 o'clock, death resulting from pneumonia.

Mr. Buchheit was born in St. Marys, December 15, 1849 and was passed 73 years of age.

He is survived by his wife, nee Mary Goetz, four sons, Joseph, Frank, Charles, William, six daughters, Rose (Mrs. John Distler), Mary (Mrs. Clements Meyer), Josephine (Mrs. Frank Cotter), Julia (Mrs. Lawson Renwick), Hilda, at home and Gertrude (Mrs. Harry Walker), of Kane. Two brothers, John and Alois, one sister, Mrs. Joseph Goetz, sixty eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Services will be conducted in the St. Marys Church, followed by interment in the Catholic Cemetery.

OBITUARY - 4/12/1928

Death Monday night removed another of the old residents of this place, when Mrs. Mary Bucheit, widow of the late F. X. Bucheit passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lawson Renwick, of Th... Street, at nine-thirty o'clock. Death was caused by a complication of diseases.

She was a native of Bellefont(e), being born there December 24, 1853, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Goetz. She came to St. Marys with her parents while still a small child and had resided here since.

She attained her education in the local parochial schools. In October 1875, she was joined in marriage to Mr. Bucheit who passed away some years ago.

The deceased was a member of the Altar societies of the St. Marys Church and members of that organization attended the funeral in a body.

She is survived by four sons, Frank Charles, Joseph and William, all of St. Marys, six daughters, Mrs. John Distler, Mrs. Clements Meyer, Mrs. Frank Cotter and Mrs. Lawson Renwick of this place; Mrs. Harry Walker, of Kane; and Mrs. Ambrose Wortman, of Buffalo; two sisters, Mrs. John Kaul, of this place, and Mrs. Carrie Bauer, of Buffalo, and three brothers, Alois Goetz, of Buffalo, Rupert and Michael Goetz, of this city. F. X. Bucheit Passed Away on Sunday
Mass tomorrow for resident of Bucktail Road

Frank X. Bucheit, 83, of Bucktail Road, who lived practically his entire life in St. Marys, passed away Sunday afternoon at 3:05 at Blose-McGregor Nursing home in Punxsutawney.

He had been in failing health for some time and a patient at the nursing home since September 28.

Mr. Bucheit was born in St. Marys on December 4, 1878, son of the late Frank X and Mary Goetz Bucheit.

He was proprietor of the Rendezvous Tavern until his retirement. Prior to that he had worked at the local tannery and its affiliates for 40 years. Five years of that time, he was stationed at the tannery in Mt. Jewett.

Mr. Bucheit was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Rene Martin, who passed away here in 1925.

The deceased is survived by his wife, the former Marie Heinkel, who he married on August 23, 1927. Seven sons, a daughter and two step-daughters. They are: Richard and Bernard Bucheit of St. Marys; Louis of Chicago; John of Mt. Jewett; Andrew of Kane; Leon of Erie and Walter of Cleveland. Clare, Mrs. Paul Horchen, Jr., of St. Marys; the step daughters are Charlotte, Mrs. Carl Vollmer of St. Marys; and Frances, Mrs. John Hillebrand of Mesa, Arizona.

Also surviving are three sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Mary Meyer, Mrs. Josephine Cotter, Mrs. Julia Renwick, and Carl Bucheit of St. Marys; and William of Coudersport.

Thirty-five grandchildren and one great-grandchild also are among his survivors.

Mr. Bucheit was a charter member of St. Marys Eagles and a member of St. Joseph Society.

Requiem mass will be celebrated in Queen of the World Church tomorrow morning at 10:30 with interment to follow in St. Marys cemetery.

Friends are being received at the Joseph W. Lynch Funeral Home on Washington street this afternoon from 2 to 4 and this evening from 7 to 9.

MOTHER OF SEVEN CHILDREN DIES AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS

Mrs. Frank Buchheit Passed Away Saturday Evening

A death of unusual sadness occurred in our midst Saturday evening at five o'clock with the passing away of Rinnie Mae, wife of Frank Buchheit, Jr., at the family home on Hall Avenue, leaving behind seven children, ranging in age from a babe of six months to the eldest, who is but fourteen years old.

Although not in the best of health for the past six months, she was not confined to bed until last Monday, previous to which time she was able to attend to her household duties.

Apparently not seriously ill, no change for the worse was noted until early Saturday morning when she began to sink rapidly and within twelve hours her eyes were closed in death. She realized the end was near, and retaining consciousness until the last, conversed with members of the family, who had gathered around her bedside. Her death is attributed to a combination of diseases.

Mrs. Buchheit was born at Oswayo, Potter County, Penna., September 2, 1892, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Martin and she was approaching her 33rd birthday.

She was educated in the public schools at that place and at the age of eighteen came to St. Marys where she was married on April 21, 1910 to Frank Buchheit, Jr.

Seven children, all boys, were born of this union, Louis, John, Richard, Andrew, Leon, Bernard and Walter, all of whom survive as do her husband and father, her mother having died some years ago.

The deceased was a devout Christian, a member of the Rosary Society, Sacred Heart Church and also a member of the St. (unreadable) Court No. 95 C.D. of A. Members of these two organizations will attend her funeral in a body.

Funeral services for the deceased will be conducted from the Sacred Heart Church tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at nine o'clock.

Theresia Street Resident Dies In Buffalo
Joseph Bucheit Passed Away Today

Joseph C. Bucheit, 71, life-long resident of St. Marys, died at approximately 12:30 this morning in the Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo, where he had been admitted as a surgical patient three weeks ago.

While his condition had shown no marked improvement the past few days, members of the family who visited him during visiting hours last night found no appreciable change and news that he passed away about three hours after they last saw him, came as a considerable shock.

Mr. Bucheit was born March 22, 1877, son of the deceased Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bucheit. He had been employed at the Tannery until his retirement slightly more than two years ago. Prior to that he worked at the local sawmill and for St. Marys Brewing Company.

He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Lanzel, and the following children: Beatrice, Mrs. Fred Bhrem, Buffalo; Helen, Mrs. Clarence Ellison, Port Allegany; Mrs. Fairl Singer, Genevieve, Mrs. S. J. Cancilla, Miss Silda Buchheit and Norman Buchheit of St. Marys.

Other survivors are five sisters and three brothers; Mrs. Mary Meyer, Mrs. Josephine Cotter, Mrs. Julia Renwick, St. Marys; Gertrude, Mrs. Harry Walker, Kane; Hilda, Mrs. Ambrose Wortman, Buffalo; Frank and Charles Bucheit, St. Marys; William Bucheit, Mt. Jewett, and eight grandchildren.

Deceased was a member of St. Joseph Society, P. F. L. and Eagles.

The body can be viewed at the family home after 10 o'clock Saturday morning.

Requiem mass will be celebrated in St. Marys church Monday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.

Theresia Street Woman Passed Away Saturday Evening

Requiem mass for the late Mrs. Mary Barbara Buchheit, 703 Theresia street, who passed away at her home Saturday evening at 6:10 will be held in St. Marys Church Wednesday morning at 9:00 o'clock.

Friends are being received at the family residence.

Mrs. Buchheit, 78, had been in ill health for the past 30 months. Death was attributed to a complication of ailments.

She was born in St. Marys January 20, 1878, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lanzel and spent her entire life in this community.

She was married in St. Marys Church October 11, 1808 to Joseph Buchheit who passed away March 17, 1949.

The following children survive: Mrs. Fairl Singer, Silda, Mrs. John Lunger, St. Marys; Beatrice, Mrs. Fred Brehm, Buffalo; Helen, Mrs. Clarence Ellison, Port Allegany; Norman Buchheit, St. Marys.

She is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. John Meisel, Minnie, Bertha and Amanda Lanzel, St. Marys; Mrs. Jospehine Samick, Erie; Ben and Ralph Lanzel, St. Marys.

Other survivors include eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

A daughter, Genevieve, Mrs. S. J. Cancilla, died October 12, 1949.

Mrs. Buchheit was a member of the Altar Society.

Theresia Street Woman Died At Her Home On Friday

Requiem mass for Mrs. Lawson Renwick of 1013 Theresia Street, will be celebrated at 10 o'clock Monday morning in Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Mrs. Renwick, 75, the former Julia Bucheit, passed away yesterday before noon at her home. Her death was unexpected. She had been around as usual and had attended the Fashion Show here Thursday evening.

The deceased was born in St. Marys on February 12, 1889 daughter of the late Frank X. and Mary Goetz Bucheit. She spent her entire life here.

Mrs. Renwick is survived by two daughters and three sons. They are:

Mary, Mrs. Robert Anderson; Louise, Mrs. James Samick, Thomas, Walter and William Renwick, all of St. Marys. Also surviving is a niece, Leona, Mrs. Clarence Lowe of St. Marys, whom she raised.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mary Meyer and Mrs. Joseph Cotter of St. Marys; and two brothers, Carl Bucheit of St. Marys and William of Coudersport.

Other survivors include 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Renwick was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away here on October 14, 1948. They had been married in Sacred Heart Church in 1909.

Also preceding her in death were two brothers and four sisters: Frank X. and Joseph C. Bucheit, both of St. Marys; Mrs. Gertrude Walker of Kane; Mrs. Hilda Wortman of Buffalo; Mrs. Rose Distler and Mrs. Helena Distler, both of St. Marys.

Friends are being received today and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the John J. Lynch Funeral Home on North Michael Street.

Kathy Bucheit Zygutis, 59, of Bend, Oregon, died on October 27, 2006.

She was born in St. Marys on December 27, 1946, the daughter of the late Richard and Rita Bucheit.

In 1994 she married Don Zygutis who survives. She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles Ritter of Kane.

After graduation from high school, Kathy worked for a bank in St. Marys. She later moved to Bend, Oregon, where she eventually became vice president of US Bank. She retired from the bank in 1996. She then managed a bingo program at a non-profit organization in Bend for many years.

Kathy is survived by three stepchildren, Ruth Ann, David, and Steve Zygutis, and four step grandchildren, two sisters, Donna Jones (Frank) of Norristown and Ann Marshall (Tom) of Wexford
and two brothers, Fred Bucheit, Mill Hall and Richard Bucheit, Missoula Montana.

A memorial service will be held in Bend, Oregon.

Contributions in Kathy's memory can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral Mass on Friday Morning For St. Marys Native

Leon R. Bucheit, 60, of 57 Curtzie Drive, Fairview, Pa., died Tuesday in the Erie Veterans Medical Center.

He was born May 20, 1920, in St. Marys, son of the late Frank and Rinnie Martin Bucheit. He lived in Erie for many years and Fairview the past three years. He was a self-employed truck broker.

Surviving are: his wife, the former Helen Wilhelm; two daughters, Renee, Mrs. Howard Stolz of Erie; Carol Bucheit of Fairview; two sons: Eric of Salt Lake City, Utah; Leon, Jr. of Erie and seven grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters: Clara, Mrs. Paul Horchen and Charlotte, Mrs. Carl Vollmer, both of St. Marys; four brothers: Richard of St. Marys, John of Mt. Jewett, Andrew of Kane and Walter of Lorraine, Ohio.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Bernard.

Helen J. Bucheit, 72, of 3415 Westlake Road, Erie, died Monday in Millcreek Community Hospital.

She was born January 28, 1916, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Edward and Anna Breindel Wilhelm. She was married to Leon Bucheit, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two daughters: Renee, Mrs. Howard Stolz and Carol Bucheit, both of Erie; two sons, Eric of Denver, Col.; Leon Bucheit, Jr. of Erie; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren; two sisters: Doris, Mrs. Michael Florio of St. Marys; Rita Bucheit of DuBois; two brothers: Edward and LeRoy Wilhelm both of St. Marys.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Katherine Kreckel and Louise Young; and a brother, Claude Wilhelm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, 11 a.m. in St. Julia Church in Erie. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery there.

Friends and relatives may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home in Erie today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

GERALDINE BUCHEIT

Geraldine Erich Bucheit, 86, a resident of Colony Park in Carol Stream for over 20 years, died Sunday, May 18, at the Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield, Ill.

She was born March 12, 1911, in St. Marys, where she spent her childhood. She married Louis Bucheit, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Bucheit is survived by a daughter, Jean, Mrs. Gary Orland, St. Charles; four sons, Robert Bucheit, LaPorte, IN; Kenneth Bucheit, Glen Ellyn; David Bucheit, Richmond, VA; Greg Bucheit, Carol Stream; 19 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Virginia Lecher, Doris Fritz, Georgia Long, and Betty Taylor, all of St. Marys, three brothers, Billy, Regis and Thomas Erich of St. Marys and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, Donald, Gerald and Paul Bucheit, and a sister, Marie Squires.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Mark Catholic Church, Wheaton, Ill. on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will follow in the St. Michael Cemetery, Wheaton.

LOCAL NATIVE DIED TUESDAY IN SACRED HEART CONVENT, N.C.

Mother Maura Buchheit, 88, died yesterday in the Sacred Heart Convent, Belmont, N.C.

She was born in St. Marys, daughter of the late Alois and Helen Goetz Buchheit.

Surviving is a brother, Henry Buchheit of St. Marys; a niece and a nephew.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters: Sr. Leona Buchheit, Sophie, Antoinette and Mary Buchheit; three brothers: Philip, Alois and Fr. Maurus Buchheit.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. in the convent. Interment will follow in the convent cemetery.

RICHARD BUCHEIT DIED YESTERDAY IN PITTSBURGH

Richard L. Bucheit, 68, of RD 4 Treasure Lake, died yesterday afternoon in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a short illness. He had moved to Treasure Lake from St. Marys last year.

He was born November 2, 1915 in St. Marys, son of the late Frank X. and Rinnie Martin Bucheit. He was employed as an accountant for West Penn Power.

Surviving are his wife, the former Rita E. Wilhelm, whom he married February 13, 1943; three daughters, Donna, Mrs. Frank Jones of Norristown; Kathy, Mrs. Charles Ritter of Bend, Ore.; Ann, Mrs. Thomas Marshall of Wexford; two sons, Frederick C. of Peach Creek, Richard A. at home and six grandchildren.

Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Clara Horchen of St. Marys; three brothers, John of Mt. Jewett; Andrew of Kane; and Walter Bucheit of Lorraine, Ohio.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; Bernard, Louis and Leon.

Mr. Bucheit was Chief Petty Officer with the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and was a member of the St. Marys American Legion.

Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Michael's Church, DuBois. Interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery here.

Friends may call at the James H. Luther Funeral Home, Inc., DuBois, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

RITA E. BUCHEIT

Rita E. Bucheit, 78, formerly of Beech Creek and Fulmer's Personal Care Home, died Thursday at the Susqueview Home, Inc.

She was born March 11, 1920 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Edward and Anna Brindel Wilhelm. Her husband, Richard L. Bucheit, whom she married February 13, 1943, preceded her in death July 24, 1984.

She is survived by three daughters, Donna H. Jones, of Norristown; Kathy A. Zygutis of Bend, OR; Ann L. Marshall, of Wexford; two sons, Fred C. Bucheit of Mill Hall and Richard Bucheit of Brookville; a sister, Doris Florio of St. Marys; two brothers, Edward and Leroy Wilhelm, both of St. Marys; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Mrs. Bucheit was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling and bridge and was a member of the St. Mary's Church, St. Marys.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at ten o'clock in St. Marys Church with Father Alfred, O.S.B., officiating. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday from 9:15 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of N.E. PA, 71 N. Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.

The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 320 Main Street, Mill Hall, PA, is in charge of the arrangements.
